Our Founder
Solely For Students INC. was founded by Mindy Govoreau, a proud Cherokee Nation citizen and a devoted mother of four. Mindy's personal experiences and her desire to give back to the community drove her to establish this organization. She recognized the critical need for proper footwear among students, particularly in snowy conditions and for those facing economic disadvantages.
Our Mission
Our core mission is to provide quality footwear to the students of the Bear Valley Unified School District. With six schools and 2,166 students, this district faces unique challenges, including a significant minority enrollment of 50% and a substantial 55.4% of students dealing with economic disadvantages. We are committed to addressing this need and ensuring that every student has access to the shoes they need to succeed.
What We Do
At Solely For Students INC., we believe that the right pair of shoes can make a world of difference in a student's life. We provide free shoes to local schools within the district, empowering students and boosting their confidence.
